After a successful career working in leading lifestyle magazines in Madrid, Spain, Mara decided it was time to pursue her dream to work in film.

In 2010 she graduated from Sydney Film School in Australia. During this time, she produced over 10 short films. One of the productions “Blood Brothers” won Best Film at the Sydney Latin America Film Festival and was screened at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art as part of the AIE Visual Arts Conference.

In 2011 she moved back to Spain where she produced several music videos, commercials and documentaries. The documentary “In Between” got an Honourable Mention in the winners of Athens International Film + Video Festival in 2015 and “Lives in Transit” was premiered at the New York Film Festival in 2016.

Relocated to Canada in 2014, Mara has mainly been working as a Production Coordinator on many popular films and TV shows.

Between projects she actively produces or writes her own screenplays with the plans on getting these and several other projects off the ground.
